Karthik K Iyengar | President
Karthik has 20+ years of experience in IT and has led global teams specializing in Data Analytics, Cloud and Business Intelligence. Karthik is passionate about giving back to the society and CLLF is a cause that closely resonates with his philosophy of helping the underprivileged children in India and around the globe. Karthik's vision for CLLF is to scale the organization up to be able to support multiple children financially so that they can afford quality health care.
Amit Arora | Vice President
Amit is the Founder of CLLF, and established its mission & vision based on personal experiences. Amit's vision to provide make cancer treatment financially worry free for families who have kids with cancer.
Priscilla Amalraj | Board Member
Priscilla Amalraj is the acting Chief Information Officer (CIO) at IEEE leading the Information Technology team. Priscilla is a senior executive with 25+ years of experience focused on technology strategy and transformation, building high performance teams and improving the end user experience.
Prior to this role, Priscilla held various roles at IEEE including:
Senior Director of Global IT Business relationships at IEEE, leading technology strategy and stakeholder management for all lines of business at IEEE. Priscilla led IEEE's Digital Transformation, including establishing IEEE's Mobile Center of Excellence, Innovation Lab, Digital Solutions & Enterprise Web Applications, Enterprise Web Services, Business Analytics Center of Excellence, Test Engineering, Global IT and Cloud adoption.
Priscilla spearheaded IEEE's GDPR initiative and established an enterprise wide Data privacy & Compliance Program.
She led the technology efforts for the implementation of IEEE's Business Platform project to introduce a new e-Commerce system with significant improvements to the member experience, which was launched on schedule and under budget in 2012.
Before joining IEEE in 1995, Priscilla worked as Senior Software Engineer at AT&T and Ashok Leyland Information Technology Ltd
Priscilla is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), and holds a master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Madras, India. She completed several executive programs at Stanford University and Rutgers University.
Priscilla is a Senior member of the IEEE since Aug 2000 and a member of ASAE. Priscilla enjoys travel and volunteers her time mentoring youth and young adults.

Nitin Bhatia | Secretary
Nitin Bhatia has over two decades of experience in enterprise technology, leading large-scale initiatives across cloud, data, and enterprise platforms. He has successfully guided complex, multi-business organizations through modernization efforts, including ERP transformation, cloud adoption, and advanced analytics enablement. He currently serves as Head of Oracle Engineering at Compass Inc., where he leads a multidisciplinary team of application architects, database engineers, cloud engineers, and system engineers, driving strategic technology initiatives and operational excellence. Nitin’s vision is to help scale CLLF’s impact by enabling more children to receive the financial support they need to access quality healthcare.
Rajendra (Raj) Gangavarapu | Governance Officer & Georgia State Chapter Head
Rajendra Gangavarapu is an executive, board advisor, and academic that brings over two decades of senior leadership experience in financial services, fintech, and regulated industries, having held executive roles at Pathward Financial, DTCC, Santander, Synchrony, and FIS. His work sits at the intersection of board governance, AI oversight, risk management, and executive decision-making.
Dr. Haley Newman | Medical Advisor – Second Opinions
Dr. Haley Newman is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and a pediatric oncologist at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)/University of Pennsylvania. In addition to caring for patients, she leads a translational research laboratory focused on genomic approaches to improving outcomes for children with leukemia and lymphoma. Her work includes identifying inherited risk factors for blood cancers, using predictive modeling to understand which patients are most likely to relapse, and developing blood-based tests using circulating tumor DNA to detect relapse. She is also committed to health equity and studies how social factors shape outcomes for children with cancer. Dr. Newman received her BA from Tufts University and her MD from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency and fellowship at CHOP and Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at UPenn. She has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications.
Deepti Pillay | Board Member
Deepti Pillay is an NJ real estate specialist with a unique blend of experience that fuels her passion for helping people find their dream homes. For the past 10 years, she has been navigating the NJ market, but her journey started way before that. Her background in psychology, sociology, accounting, sales & marketing has given her a multifaceted perspective on people, numbers, and the art of the deal. Deepti's passion extends beyond real estate. She also cofounded Thriving Together NJ, a women's empowerment group that creates a safe space for women to connect, grow, and thrive. She is a wife and a mama to 2 adorable (but sometimes rambunctious) kiddos. Juggling it all can be a wild ride, but it also fuels her positive energy and drive to help others achieve their goals. And she aims to bring this same energy and passion towards the CLLF mission.
Dr. Pooja Jain | Board advisor
Dr. Pooja Jain is a Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Drexel University College of Medicine (DUCOM), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. She also holds joint appointment as a Professor of Neurobiology and Anatomy within DUCOM in addition to a membership in the Sydney Kimmel Cancer Center, Thomas Jefferson University. She is the appointed Secretary of the International Retrovirology Association (IRVA), and the Chair of 22nd International Conference on Retrovirology: HTLV and Related Retroviruses (https://htlv2026.org/). Dr. Jain is well known internationally for her original research work in the field of retrovirus-induced cancer and neuroinflammation and has received numerous awards. Dr. Jain has been successful in receiving and maintaining National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding as a Principal Investigator since last two decades. She has authored over 75 high impact peer-reviewed publications, over 350 scientific abstracts, and delivered 100s of invited talks all around the United States and across the globe.
